Bloodletting Activity

This rewarding endeavour participated in by 14IB was successfully made possible through the sense of volunteerism of our personnel and technical assistance of the 6th BKMM led by Dr. Bernardo M Marasigan, Medical Specialist IV of Eastern Samar, Provincial Hospital.
A total of thirty one (31) personnel who are voluntary donate their blood for the probable indigent patients of Eastern Samar. The requesting parties are very thankful for our positive and prompt response on their request. Our assistance endowed to them is very crucial to their mission of proving medical and surgical services to poor inhabitants of the province.
At about 0900H, the activity had started with short lectures given by Dr. Marasigan regarding the benefits and importance of donating blood on our health. And he also recognized the gallantry of soldier not only in times of combat operations but in community-centered activities as well, like blood donation to needy people.
The activity was culminated at 1600H same day with 31 personnel of this unit who are voluntarily donated their blood for the said cause. A total of 31 bags or 15,500 cc of various blood types were obtained.

After Activity Report on Blue Heart Campaign Against

The Blue Heart Campaign Against Human Trafficking convened on 150800H February 2010 at Libanan Gym, Oras, Eastern Samar. The activity started with a Civic Parade around the town proper participated in by members of Plan Phil’s Eastern Samar, students and teachers of different schools, LGU and other LGAs, PNP and personnel of this unit led by MAJ EDWIN FANILAG PA, Bn Ex-O and 2LT NAOMI S BERNARDINO PA, AS7. After the civic parade a symposium was conducted attended by MOL 250 participants. Said symposium oriented the public regarding RA 9208 and encourages each individual to be involved in order for us to have a safe and peaceful community. The LGU, LGAs of Oras, PNP and 14IB, PA rendered their respective part in connection with the said campaign.

After the symposium the participants come up with a ceremonial commitment which was facilitated by Mr. Doy Glino a member of Plan Philippines and was participated by the local populace, LGU, LGA, PNP and 14IB, PA.
